Steve Austin (secretary)
My life-long interest in the education of children means that I am keen to support, in particular, the educational work of Seeds of Grace. I hope to visit Uganda in person to assist with the new school that the charity is funding.
I am a member of Leyland Methodist church, play guitar, and enjoy contributing to worship music.I visited Tanzania in 2013, working as a volunteer teacher in an orphanage. I am delighted to have been asked to become involved in a charity supporting work in Uganda.I was born in Wigan and now live in Leyland. I used to live in Sussex and have worked in schools in the South East of England for many years. I have four children aged from 28 to 22.
I took early retirement from being a head teacher in 2014 and continue to work part-time as an associate tutor at the Edge Hill University’s teacher training department.
